
Darren Perrin is a partner in Kearney's Abu Dhabi office, bringing over 25 years of global experience and technical depth to Kearney’s sustainability and public sector practices. Currently working to support ministries in waste policy and strategy development and implementation within the GCC region and more broadly across MENA and beyond.
Before joining Kearney, Darren led environmental consulting teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. He has advised national and municipal governments, regulators, C-suite leaders, and large-scale developments on designing and implementing integrated waste management systems, circular economy strategies, and environmental policy. His technical expertise is complemented by a passion for solving complex systems-level challenges, focusing on making man-made systems regenerative by design.
Darren began his career in waste management following a PhD focused on household recycling behavior and government recycling systems. Since then, his work shaping national waste strategies has included the rewarding experience of training more than 2,000 professionals globally in waste management training courses he designed. Other highlights of his career include helping to facilitate high-level debates at COP28 on the role of waste in climate change, where he engaged with global leaders on advancing sustainable consumption and circular economy.
