
Hamza is the CEO of Emirates Waste to Energy Company, a joint venture between Masdar and Beeah Group. He manages the shareholders' development and investment activities in the waste-to-energy sector, including the Middle East's first commercial waste-to-energy project in Sharjah.
With nearly a decade of experience in the clean energy sector, Hamza has led and contributed to key projects in waste-to-energy, carbon capture, concentrated solar power, and hydrogen within the UAE.
He holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Harvard Business Publishing Leadership Program, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and an ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, with additional qualifications in project finance and risk management.
