Eng. Mohammad Ahmad Al Rayees has a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from American University of Sharjah – UAE.

He occupied several leadership positions in Dubai Municipality and achieved solid career path in field and supervisory engineering domain including:

- Director – Drainage Projects Department.

- Director – Recycled Water Treatment Network & Stations Department.

- Director – Waste Strategy & Projects Department. (Present)

- Developed a New Integrated Waste Strategy 2041, including Waste Reduction Strategy up to 2041 and waste Diversion Strategies from Landfills.

- Developed Landfill Closure Roadmap along with required Projects to drive the landfill closure plan.

- Draw the vision of the treatment of inert waste and non-inert waste and Drive initiatives to enhance the recycling targets.

- Oversee all the Department Projects resulting from the strategy, and make sure to match the projects with the strategy’s objectives and ensure achieving the targeted KPIs.

He supervised large and significant projects in infrastructure including: Jebel Ali Station expansion project, Strategic deep rain water tunnel, strategies plans in drainage and recycled water, Integrated Waste Strategy, Waste Reduction Strategy, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Generation from Waste Study, Waste to Energy Centre in Al Warsan, Development of Regulatory Framework for Dubai Waste Management Centre Residues, Al Qusais landfill Gas to Energy, General Framework for enhancing recyclables and RDF quality, and Various new Facilities to be developed in the Solid Waste Management Process.

He was ranked second as Distinguished Employee – Supervisory Position category in Dubai Government Excellence Program in 2021, and first as Distinguished Employee – Supervisory Position category at the level of Dubai Municipality in 2020.

He was engaged in many work teams such as:

- Supervisory team of Dubai Expo 2020 service development.

- Service development team.

- Represented Dubai Municipality in many arbitration meetings and actively participated in several regional and international working papers.
